Fun With Inky

Just a few dumb sketches from a trip to visit my fam in Europe:

Assorted creeps and hustlers, including the guy in that public bathroom in Zurich who wanted
a "handshake":

Euro Trash alleyway slap fighters in Liege:

The Liege's St. Paul Cathedral, the place whose stairs me and my cousins passed out on after a long night of drinking:

You'd only be stupid enough to say that festering continent was a sophisticated place if you'd never been there.

Weird Wall

It's only when you step back do you realize that I evidently have nothing but BONE, Adventure Time, and pervy Axolotls on my sketch mind.

  Nice.

Sin To Win!

Spent last two days making t-shirts with the help of my good buddies Matt (pulling double duty as roomie), Gage, and Vicki.

They turned out pretty okay:

"Sin to Win" Tough Dame

"Sin to Win" Luchador

Making a whole mess of them in all sizes:

My beloved helpers might have got a little upset at how long I was taking:

That's just uncalled for.

Anyway it was a lot of fun and some really cool people have already bought a few.
Like this guy:

Mike Mictlan, sick rapper and mad component of Doomtree is cool person.
You should be cool person too (and get yourself a shirt).

SIN TO WIN!!

ART SALE ART SALE

The MCAD Art Sale is an awesome cross between a seeting cattle yard full of humanity and an amazingly well set up gallery show. These last couple weeks have been dominated with getting stuff ready for it.

Namely creepy-eyed hyping:

Eyes, eyes everywhere.

Some clothing label work with the help of the deft knitting fingers of multi-threat singer/a-whole-bunch-of-other-shit The Magnificent V:

And framing up a big piece of mine:

Whose price V immediately depreciated:

More fun stuff to come.

Masks. Masks Everywhere.

A bunch of other illustrators and I were asked by writer/professor/overall great guy William Alexander to come up with some printable and colorable (new word) mask designs for all the cool kids that are going to go get his awesome novel Goblin Secrets.

Check them all out at:

http://www.goblinsecrets.com/masks.html

Now you and any kids associated with you can be the creepiest ghost-dame, the gnarliest looking lion, or any number of things on the block.

Roar.
Boo.

Alexander Jansson puts every one of us in shadow though with the awesome cover illustration he did for it. So that should be another reason to buy the book when it comes March 6, 2012.

The Triumphant Return!!!

Lot of weird personal stuff and a host  mass migrations translated into me being a scrub and not being able to update this thing for quite a while. And for that I am sorry.

But Doodle Devil and I have a proud announcement to make.

With the help of some computer wizardry the Julian Howley Show is now up!

Tell your friends! Lock your doors!

We will update you as the situation develops.
Out for now.

Full Graphics and Assorted History

Here are the full graphics of those board designs I did.
Plus some history even though I know people find that stuff to be dumb and boring.

"Amerika Kult" Skateboards

The day job and lack of technology have stopped me from updating with a bunch of stuff of mine.
I came up with a couple skateboard designs with a Norwegian skate deck company Svart Kult in mind.
They're pretty much for skaters who love  black metal.
http://www.myspace.com/svartkultskateboards

I even got one of the things printed out and put it on a deck.

Here are some evidently big-ass photos.

Got the trucks and wheels by stealing them off my sister's board.

The better half even decided to pose with it.

GO TEAM EVIL!!!

Will post the full graphics later.

"Eat Lightning and Crap Thunder"

Documentation pictures of that big screen-print of mine just got in.
Had a fun but long night inking and coloring it.

Me and my recently enlarged head celebrated the occasion.

Special thanks to proud Canadian and prolific print artist Natasha Pestich for the documentation.

Paintings and a Dead Guy

Been insanely busy this week.
Broke free enough to put these gouache pieces up.
I usually paint different then I draw. Not sure if I like it.

My personal shout-out to that Minnesota COLD.

And a big painting that has been somehow resonating with people in high places.

Another shout out, this time to an old album I used to have of that devil-dealing Bluesman:
Robert Johnson

Here he was mugging proof that the blues be evil.

Will post up as things develop.

Happy Health Pals

Healthcare spot illustrations that were a good test
for a new way to color in photoshop.

To many people like the proby one.

The Virus is Spreading

Otis proves himself to be an extremely communicable disease
as he infects the apparel of Kasia and Dustin.

He's all up in your girl-tops and sweaters folks.

Check out this satisfied customer.
Homegirl Vicki got herself a black n white.

She also rocked one of my shirts and she's got quite a few other cool things on her tumblr:

Hypothetical Bedding Design

Basically made two patterns, threw it into the full "this is the type of stuff Martha Stewart's bed has"
I honestly wouldn't know given what I sleep on.
Found a semi witchcraft setting with livetrace in Illustrator to work this out.

Dedicated to all the little kids who got deathly scared by "Where the Wild Things Are"

All children should sleep beneath illustrated murder implements.
The full bedspread kit, need to find something more clever to do with the sham and the pillows.
